Title: Senior C++ Software Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (ONSITE)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17) and Embedded C
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot, or similar)
- Preferred with set-top boxes, IPTV/OTT platforms, smart TVs, DVRs, routers, IoT gateways, or similar embedded devices
- Solid understanding of Linux internals, kernel concepts, device drivers, memory management, and file systems
- Strong knowledge of multithreading, synchronization, inter-process communication (IPC), sockets, and network protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
- Experience developing and debugging high-performance, multithreaded C++ applications on embedded Linux platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with debugging, troubleshooting, profiling, and performance optimization.
- Experience with tools such as GDB, Valgrind, core dumps, strace, and Linux system utilities.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, version control (Git), code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver reliable production-quality solutions.
